Between uncertainties, tremors, contrasts, dilemmas and paradoxes, communication becomes an emotional, playful and irreconcilable dispute.

Geomelodies shows, in an emblematic and indefinite space, geometric forms in primary and then gradually psychedelic colors following one another in constructive swirls and unexpected mixes, driven by a sonic and aesthetic energy that shapes them. The forms are generated, multiplied, aggregated, scattered, transmuted, evoking the tragicomic tangle of life, alternating pre-established models with experimentation of possible multiples before dissolving into an absolute whiteness.

Geomelodies mette in scena, in uno spazio emblematico e indefinito, forme geometriche dai cromatismi primari e via via psichedelici che si susseguono in turbinii costruttivi e inattese mescolanze, incitate da un’energia modellatrice sonora ed estetica. Le forme si generano, si moltiplicano, si aggregano, si sparpagliano, trasmutano, evocando il tragicomico garbuglio della vita, alternando modelli assegnati a sperimentazioni di multipli possibili fino a dissolversi in un bianco assoluto.

A line develops and marks its surrounding space in search of a composition strategy: it multiplies, enlarges, stretches increasing its size up to create more and more complex shapes. It invades all the space around striving to expand further, yet it will go all the way back, forced by a representation limit, to its simple and basic initial state.

Una linea si articola e delimita lo spazio circostante alla ricerca di una strategia compositiva: si moltiplica, si dilata e si allunga aumentando le sue dimensioni fino a comporre forme sempre più complesse. Riesce a occupare tutto lo spazio circostante ma vuole andare oltre fino a che, costretta da un limite rappresentativo, intraprende un processo inverso che la riporterà al semplice e essenziale stato iniziale.

Konversacio is a virtual, multi-voice dialogue. 14 "mouths" joined together a digital pattern erupt onto the screen like a bad TV signal staging a performance of communication using the distinctive sounds of Esperanto. These mouths generate a free, heterogeneous game of sound and tone that is highly associable, yet disturbed by their own lingering desire for individuality, evident in both their verve of expression and in the attempt to overcome their own formal limits. A sonorous and dynamic film, at the same time consistent and erratic, alternating between synchronicity, calm and chaos.

Konversacio è un dialogo virtuale a più voci. In uno stesso tessuto connettivo digitale, 14 "bocche" irrompono sullo schermo come un segnale video disturbato inscenando una performance comunicativa attraverso l’uso dei foni distintivi dell’esperanto. Queste producono un libero e composito gioco timbrico-sonoro fortemente associativo, ma perturbato dalla propria volontà residua di distinzione, tanto nella verve espressiva quanto nel tentativo di travalicare il proprio limite formale. Un copione sonoro e dinamico, connesso e incostante, in cui si alternano sincronia, quiete e caos.

In the MĀYĀ video, I have tried to execute, in visual terms, the concept of non-dualism, indivisible unity, as it has been expressed in the old texts of India, orally handed on by Gaudapāda and transcribed later on by Śankara, two of the most reputed representatives of Vedānta Advaita (Veda-Upanishad). I have graphically synthesized the concept of dualism in six triptychs, each image representing one of this phases of change.

Nel video MĀYĀ ho cercato di elaborare in termini visuali il concetto di non-dualismo, unità che non si moltiplica, espresso nei testi antichi dell’India, tramandato oralmente da Gaudapāda e trascritto successivamente da Śankara, i due massimi esponenti del Vedānta Advaita (Veda-Upanishad). Ho sintetizzato graficamente il concetto di dualismo dividendo il video in sei trittici di cui ogni immagine rappresenta una delle tre fasi di trasformazione.

"Y" (Y chromosome) is a imaginative view of human evolution. Starting with the natural existence of the chromosome, through to the formation of the embryo as a living organism in the earliest stages of its development, in this sequence of images I have envisioned the essential form of the Y chromosome - this progression as it transforms, apparently cosmic in this nature, into spermatozoa until there is a complete metamorphosis inside the female uterus, generating the embryo: life itself.

"Y" (cromosoma Y) rappresenta una immaginifica visione del processo evolutivo umano, dalla naturale esistenza del cromosoma fino alla formazione dell'embrione come organismo vivente nelle primissime fasi del suo sviluppo; nella sequenza delle immagini rappresento l'essenza della forma relativa al cromosoma Y, il percorso che intraprende sottoforma di spermatozoo in ambientazioni apparentemente cosmiche fino ad arrivare alla completa metamorfosi all'interno dell'utero femminile che poi genererà l'embrione "la vita".
